Beginning on land\, participants will learn the essentials of trip planning\, types of paddling equipment\, and key safety practices while paddling. Then\, take these newfound skills onto the water as we practice basic paddling techniques to kayak with confidence. No prior experience necessary. All necessary equipment provided. Dress prepared to possibly get wet. Pre-registration is required. \nDue to county road work note the following: You can access the park from the east off of route 225. There is a barricade that says road closed but drive beyond it into the park. There is no access to the park from the west off of route 183.
