Donations big and small all make a tremendous impact in our community. The Greater Alliance Foundation offers several entry points for donors and up-and-coming philanthropists to begin putting their hard-earned dollars to work for the betterment off the Alliance Community.
Apply for a Grant or Scholarship
At the Greater Alliance Foundation, we deeply appreciate our donors’ generosity, which allows us to support local nonprofit organizations and foster educational aspirations through scholarships. We review applications for grant funding requests three times a year and scholarships according to scholarship guidelines to ensure that our support has a meaningful impact on both nonprofits and individuals striving for academic excellence in our community.
Last Friday, nonprofit leaders gathered at The Alliance Commons for a workshop on Strategic and Succession Planning with Mark Plaster, the President of Markwood Partners, LLC. Attendees learned how to set their agencies up for success when planning for the future.
There is one session left to the 2024 Workshop Series - "How to Engage your Board: It Starts with your Board Meeting" with Joan Garry. Join us next Friday, May 3rd, at 9am for this informative session!

A few weeks ago, Valarie Nash of 821 Consulting spoke about Staffing, Onboarding, and Conflict Management at the first event of the Non-Profit Excellence 2024 Workshop Series. This session was extremely informative and there was a great turnout!
