The Greater Alliance Foundation features funds established by individuals, families, corporations, private foundations, and nonprofit organizations. Contributing to one of our more than 80 funds – or starting your own – supports the overall improvement of our community.
Greater Alliance Community Fund (1999)
This fund is our savings account for the future of our community. Help us help the community through an unrestricted gift to the Greater Alliance Community Fund. The purpose of this fund is to address the community’s greatest needs.

53 Accessible Alliance McClung Fund (2022)
Through a diagnosis of ALS, Chad and Heidi McClung established this fund to honor Chad’s 53rd birthday. The focus of their fund is to make the outdoors in Alliance more accessible for others who are disabled, handicapped, aging, or mothers with young children.
Alison Draves Performing Arts Fund (2009)
Jeff and Pat established this memorial fund to honor their daughter as a lasting tribute to Alison’s joy and love of the performing arts.
Alliance Area Development Agency Fund (2006)
The Alliance Area Development positively impacts retention of businesses and manufacturing and their expansion and attracts new businesses to the Alliance area. The AAD accomplishes this by assisting local businesses, area governments, and economic development organizations in building successful and complementary relationships resulting in business growth.
Alliance Area Domestic Violence Shelter Agency Fund (2004)
The Alliance Area Domestic Violence Shelter empowers and assists survivors of verbal, emotional, financial, sexual, and physical abuse by providing education, resources, emergency shelter and transitional support services to those in need.
Alliance Area Habitat for Humanity Agency Fund (2024)
The Alliance Area Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope. This fund supports their mission of seeking to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope in the greater Alliance area.
Alliance Area Habitat for Humanity Together Fund (2024)
The Alliance Area Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope. This fund supports their mission of seeking to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope in the greater Alliance area. For every donation to this Together Fund between $100 and $5,000, GAF will provide a matching grant of 5% and return the original donation to Raptor Hallow.
Alliance Capital Improvement Charitable Fund (2024)
This fund was established to provide financial support for the capital improvement, maintenance, and repairs of community buildings which house nonprofit organizations in Alliance, Ohio. The fund also supports any nonprofit organization in Alliance which hosts Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
Alliance Community Pantry Agency Fund (2015)
The Alliance Community Pantry works within the community to end hunger with an all-volunteer organization (no paid staff) which relies totally on the financial generosity of the community.
Alliance Family YMCA (Eugene Turner) Fund (2015)
The Alliance Family YMCA puts Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
Alliance for Children & Families Agency Fund (2021)
Alliance for Children & Families, Inc. —through direct services, advocacy, education, prevention, intervention, supportive services, and the development and implementation of innovative and productive programming—is committed to empowering children, individuals and families to restore them to lives of stability, self-sufficiency and enhancement.
Alliance Friends Church Marriage Ministry Fund (2024)
This fund will provide financial support to the Alliance Friends Church to strengthen Christian marriages and provide financial assistance for couples to attend marriage retreats, workshops, and seminars along with providing support toward programming, guest speakers, and events for Christian marriages in the greater Alliance area.
Alliance Historical Society Agency Fund (2011)
The Alliance Historical Society was founded for the promotion of historical studies of the City of Alliance and its surrounding areas. Members of the Society collect, preserve, and organize historical materials and work with area schools and community organizations to present historical programs.
