Family of Funds
The Greater Alliance Foundation features funds established by individuals, families, corporations, private foundations, and nonprofit organizations. Contributing to one of our more than 80 funds – or starting your own – supports the overall improvement of our community.
Greater Alliance Community Fund (1999)
This fund is our savings account for the future of our community. Help us help the community through an unrestricted gift to the Greater Alliance Community Fund. The purpose of this fund is to address the community’s greatest needs.

James and Margaret Williams Alliance Family YMCA Youth Fund (2018)
Jim and Peg Williams knew the community well. Jim was a founding trustee of the GAF and served many years on the YMCA board. This fund was established to support youth leadership and healthy lifestyle programs for Alliance youth at the YMCA.
Jim and Jill Greiner Family Fund (2021)
Jim and Jill are lifelong residents of Alliance and established this DAF to give back locally to a community that has been good to them.
Jim Fish Memorial Charitable Fund (2023)
Casey Fish established this fund. on behalf of his father, Jim Fish, who was a district manager at the Alliance Division of Ohio Edison. Jim was a very active member of the Alliance Chamber of Commerce and was an avid golfer. This fund supports the treatment, care and/or comfort of Alliance area cancer patients and their families.
Joseph and Charlotte Mastroianni Family Charitable Fund (2016)
This fund was created by the planned giving of Joseph and Charlotte to respond to community needs.
Joseph French Charitable Fund (2023)
Through this fund, Joe will continue to give back and make a difference today and into the future. This fund reflects his dedication to aid people and organizations in his second home of Alliance and beyond.
Keller Family Charitable Fund (2011)
Lynn Keller created this fund to continue the legacy she shared with her late husband, Jay, to provide charitable grants to a variety of organizations addressing community needs.
Kintz-Spittler Donor Advised Fund (2021)
The Kintz-Spittler Fund was established to assist and support charitable organizations and projects in the Alliance community.
Lepley & Co. Cares Fund (2023)
Alliance native Justin Lepley has created the Lepley & Co. Cares Fund. The fund was designed to focus on Innovative Entrepreneurship, Youth Entrepreneurship, Mentoring Programs, Advocating for the LGBTQ Community, and Strengthening NE Ohio.
Lloyd Carlile Summer Youth Fund (2021)
This fund was created by Lloyd and June Carlile to support educational summer programs for youth in the greater Alliance community.
Marlington Education Innovation Fund (2016)
This fund was established by the Marlington Local School District to promote, encourage and enhance educational opportunities that strengthen and enrich students’ experiences through classroom grants awarded to teachers that facilitate STEM education, 21st Century Learning skills, Ohio Learning Standards, 1-to-1 Technology Integration, and Professional Development for Teachers or Community Engagement.
Maxine Middleton Charitable Fund (2022)
Scott Middleton established this fund in memory of his wife Max who bravely battled breast cancer for 14 years. She was better known for her ability to connect with people. This memorial continues her legacy of helping others.
Memorial Park Monument Fund (2023)
This fund was established by a committee to recognize and pay tribute to local veterans by establishing and displaying military monuments of each U.S. War at the Alliance Memorial Park and to provide educational programming on behalf of our local veterans.
