Family of Funds

The Greater Alliance Foundation features funds established by individuals, families, corporations, private foundations, and nonprofit organizations. Contributing to one of our more than 80 funds – or starting your own – supports the overall improvement of our community.

Greater Alliance Community Fund (1999)

This fund is our savings account for the future of our community. Help us help the community through an unrestricted gift to the Greater Alliance Community Fund. The purpose of this fund is to address the community’s greatest needs.

Stuckey Family Fund (2003)

Upon Arthur Stuckey’s passing, his donor advised fund became an endowed fund designatd to be used for educational purposes per the discression of the GAF trustees.

Stuckey Family Interfaith Child Development Center is an education focused child development center empowering families, their staff members, and the community to nurture children and embrace diversity.

Stuckey Interfaith Child Development Center Endowment Fund (2007)

Arthur Stuckey, a 1943 Alliance High School graduate, was Vice President of GF Business Equipment in Youngstown, Ohio and owner of Livingston’s Office Furniture in Tampa, Florida and established this fund to provide financial support to the center.

Summer Explorers Fund (2016)

This fund was created to provide funding for the annual Summer Explorers program for Alliance elementary students through the Synergy Alliance Partners.

Summer Explorers Fund (2017)

The Summer Explorers Fund was created to help Alliance City Schools elementary students from families with fewer resources participate in summer vacation activities to stop the “summer slide” learning loss and return to school in the fall with greater reading, math, and leadership skills.

Tanner Real Estate Charitable Fund (2024)

This corporate advised fund was established by Lisa Trummer of Tanner Real Estate Co. to provide a generous stream of support to local charities in the greater Alliance community.

Thomas Teeple Charitable Fund (2009)

Norma Teeple, wife of Attorney John Teeple, established this charitable fund to be advised by their son, Thomas. He supports a variety of philanthropic interests including the arts, health initiatives and social services.

Tolerton Charitable Fund (2010)

Terry and Judy and their son Will and wife Marci established this DAF as a means to give back to the community where they raised their family and owned a successful business.

Vietnam Veterans Thomas A. Mangino Chapter #157 (2022)

This fund was opened with the general purpose of supporting projects related to Vietnam veterans in the Alliance area.

William and Joanne Abrams Meals on Wheels Endowed Fund (2024)

This endowed fund was established by Nancy Castellucci to honor the memory of her parents, William and Joanne Abrams. The benefactor will be the Meals on Wheels Plus Program ran through the YWCA of Alliance which provides nutritious meals to seniors in the greater Alliance area.

William and Mary Lou Baker Swimming Safety Fund (2012)

The five Baker children: Ann, Joan, Jeff, Chip and Tom have honored the memory of their parents, Dr. William and Mary Lou Baker, by establishing this charitable fund. This fund benefits the Alliance Family YMCA for the purpose of supporting swimming safety.

YWCA Transitional Housing Fund (2024)

The United Women in Faith of Christ United Methodist Church, Alliance, used funds entrusted to them by the Leonard and Martha (Carr) Goldrick Family to establish the YWCA Transitional Housing Fund. The Goldrick's foresight and generosity have made it possible to respond to the needs of their community. The United Women in Faith hope that others will take advantage of this established endowment to further support the need for transitional housing in our community.
