Family of Funds

The Greater Alliance Foundation features funds established by individuals, families, corporations, private foundations, and nonprofit organizations. Contributing to one of our more than 80 funds – or starting your own – supports the overall improvement of our community.

Greater Alliance Community Fund (1999)

This fund is our savings account for the future of our community. Help us help the community through an unrestricted gift to the Greater Alliance Community Fund. The purpose of this fund is to address the community’s greatest needs.

Alliance Pregnancy Center Endowment Fund (2021)

The Alliance Pregnancy Center helps parents facing unplanned pregnancy by providing a free pregnancy test, ultrasound confirmation, and answers to questions about abortion, parenting, and adoption.

Alliance Symphony Orchestra Agency Fund (2010)

ASO fosters and promotes the musical knowledge and appreciation of the public, exclusively by educational activities, and performances of music in programs chosen primarily from literature of symphonic music in the Alliance area.

Alliance Woman’s Club Charitable Fund (2022)

Upon the dissolution of the organization, members partnered with GAF to ensure their legacy continues to support programs and projects that promote women’s activities and interests.

The Alliance YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting speech, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

Alliance YWCA Together Fund (2021)

The Alliance YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting speech, justice, freedom and dignity for all. For every donation to this Together Fund between $100 and $5,000, GAF will provide a matching grant of 5% and return the original donation to the Alliance YWCA.

Anthony Lalli Downtown Fund (2022)

Tony Lalli was a friend and advocate to downtown Alliance where he owned and operated Ideal Cleaners and Laundry for over 30 years. This fund will help ensure downtown continues to thrive for generations to come.

Athena Scholarship Fund (2013)

This scholarship is for a college-bound graduating senior female in the greater Alliance area who demonstrates community involvement, academic achievement, and leadership.

Beatrice L. Miller Charitable Fund (2015)

This fund was established by the B. L. Miller Foundation to continue her philanthropic legacy in supporting nonprofit agencies in Sebring and Alliance.

Beech Creek Botanical Gardens Agency Fund (2018)

Beech Creek Botanical Gardens believes that quality of life and the health of the environment are interdependent and that an understanding of nature improves the lives of individuals. BCBG provides educational opportunities and interactive experiences that inspire people to be good stewards of their communities and world.

Betty A. Sheetz Charitable Fund (2024)

Betty’s husband Ernie was the first Executive Director of the Greater Alliance Foundation and she established this charitable fund to expand their family legacy of giving. The Betty A. Sheetz Charitable Fund honors their commitment to philanthropy and benefits a variety of charities in the greater Alliance area.
