Community Response Fund: Grant Application
Who is eligible for funding?
Grants are limited to 501(c)(3) nonprofits organizations, groups fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, or other charitable organizations able to receive a tax-deductible contribution such as schools, faith-based organizations, and other public entities. The GAF Community Response Fund is not able to offer direct support to individuals or businesses, though nonprofits providing that direct support are welcome to share their needs.
What are the funding priorities of the Community Response Fund?
The Community Response Fund priorities may evolve as our community adapts to the COVID-19 outbreak and raises more money. Throughout the outbreak and recovery phases of the crisis, our current funding priorities are supporting the basic needs for the health and safety of our most vulnerable populations during this health crisis. At this time, this fund is not able to prioritize larger public institutions that are strained by increased demand for services. Consideration will be given to the following:
- Assistance to homebound seniors
- Pandemic childcare for frontline
- Mental health services
- Shelter services and food sourcing
- Medical care and medical testing
- Other documented emerging needs
What is the timeline for awarding grant dollars?
The Community Response Fund will begin making grant awards over the coming weeks. We will do our best to respond to all funding request as soon as possible, given the volume of requests. Due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fund will not operate on a definite timeline and will be rolling.
