HOUSING

Home Repairs for Alliance
Hammer & Nails
Amount Needed: $24,900

About the Project:

Alliance’s aging housing stock continues to put many residents at risk, particularly seniors, individuals with limited income, and families who lack the resources to address critical home repairs. For 27 years, Hammer & Nails has stepped in to meet this need by providing free repairs that improve safety, accessibility, and overall living conditions, allowing neighbors to remain in the homes and communities they love. From fixing unsafe stairs and repairing roofs to addressing accessibility challenges and essential maintenance, the program helps prevent small issues from becoming major crises. Hammer & Nails aims to serve at least ten households within the Freedom Project, ensuring more residents can live safely and with dignity in their own homes.

FOOD INSECURITY

Food
Vine Pantry
Amount Needed: $5,000

About the Project:

The Vine Pantry is the only self-choice pantry in Alliance, and is a vital resource for fresh produce and essential groceries to those in need.

Rising demand and food costs have strained the pantry’s ability to maintain fresh offerings. Limited supplies have even forced distribution limits. Still, the pantry operates through grants, donations, and dedicated volunteers, many of whom were once clients.

Last year Vine Pantry provided over 220,000 pounds of food, served families from 38 different counties, and served over 17,000 individuals from a total of 6,169 households.

COMMUNITY

Matching Gift Program
Give Alliance 365
Amount Needed: $10,950

About the Project:
Nonprofit organizations in Alliance are on the front lines, addressing critical needs like hunger, education, and mental health. However, these organizations often lack consistent, flexible funding to create lasting impact. Give Alliance 365 bridges this gap by empowering residents to make a difference through small, recurring contributions.
For just $1 a day, community members join a movement to fund innovative projects and initiatives that address pressing needs and improve the quality of life in Alliance.

We are seeking funds to promote a match to increase giving.

HOUSING

Freedom Project Renovations
Alliance Area Habitat for Humanity
Amount Needed: $15,000

About the Project:
Alliance Habitat for Humanity is undertaking home renovations connected to the Freedom Project, focusing on revitalizing existing homes within the same neighborhood where the new housing initiative with Build Ohio Neighborhoods is underway. By helping neighbors repair and rehabilitate homes that need just a little extra care, this effort supports long-term neighborhood stability while complementing new housing development. These improvements not only enhance safety and livability for current residents but also restore pride of ownership and contribute to the overall renewal and momentum of the area.

FOOD INSECURITY

Meals for Alliance Residents
Compassion Delivered
Amount Needed: $5,000

About the Project:
Compassion Delivered is seeking funding to support the cost of food, packaging, and program administration needed to provide free, medically supportive meals to individuals diagnosed with life-threatening or terminal illnesses. Since its founding in 2017, the program has served 168 individuals living in the 44601 zip code and has reached more than 900 unduplicated patients overall. By delivering meals directly to participants, Compassion Delivered helps reduce daily stress for patients and caregivers while supporting health, dignity, and quality of life.
