ClayMakers Kids Clay Camp

Get ready to SPIN, SHAPE, and CREATE at ClayMakers Camp at Hot Pots & The Wheelhouse! Young artists ages 8–15 will enjoy an unforgettable day of muddy fun and creativity while exploring the art of clay.

Campers will learn the basics of the pottery wheel with guidance from our clay crew and create their very own hand-thrown pottery masterpiece. Artists will also handbuild an additional clay project using fun sculpting tools, textures, and creative techniques to bring their ideas to life.

No experience is needed — just a love for getting creative! Our instructors provide step-by-step demonstrations, encouragement, and lots of hands-on assistance in a fun and welcoming environment.

After projects are created, clay pieces will stay at the studio to dry and be kiln fired. Campers can return anytime during regular studio hours to glaze their masterpieces and add colorful finishing touches before we fire them one final time.
