The Greater Alliance Foundation is proud to announce its latest round of
community grant awards, distributing crucial funding to four local nonprofit organizations.
These grants directly align with the Foundation’s mission to enhance the quality of life and
opportunities throughout the greater Alliance area by supporting vital community programs,
literacy, family support, and early childhood development.
“Investing directly in local organizations allows us to address immediate community needs while
building a stronger foundation for the future,” said Heidi McClung, Executive Director of the
Greater Alliance Foundation. “From supporting early literacy and family dynamics to enhancing
accessibility to mobile services, these grant recipients exemplify the power of local partnership
and community dedication.”
Two of the grants given were to non-profits focusing on the family. The first, Alliance
Pregnancy Center, received $5,725 to fund the remaining cost of expanding the APC Boutique.
This funding doubles the boutique’s square footage, allowing it to accommodate more inventory
and better serve families across the Alliance community. The remaining portion of the new
boutique was funded through the Jack and Madge Peters Charitable Fund at the Greater Alliance
Foundation. The second family-focused non-profit to receive funding was Family Empowerment
Ministries. They received $1,000 to offset the cost of their community-wide free Baby Shower
and Fishing Derby. These events promote parental education, strengthen family bonds, and foster
lasting community connections to empower both parents and children.
Two more grants were given to non-profits for the purpose of expanding educational and literacy
access in the community. Early Childhood Education Alliance (ECEA) received $30,000 to
support essential payroll expenses. This grant ensures ECEA can continue offering professional
development opportunities for early childhood centers in the Alliance area, deliver crucial
programming through SPARK, and strengthen support services for the community’s most at-risk
children. The largest grant was given to Rodman Public Library in the amount of $75,000 to
assist in the purchase of a new 34-foot bookmobile. This vital acquisition ensures that Rodman
Public Library can continue delivering essential mobile library services and educational
resources throughout its entire legal service area.
These recent grants reflect the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to driving positive, lasting
change by addressing diverse community needs. By supporting both operational growth and
specialized public programming, the Greater Alliance Foundation ensures that local
organizations have the resources required to make a meaningful, daily impact on local residents.
