Legacy giving has shaped Alliance for generations, and the Beatrice L. Miller Charitable Fund is a powerful example.
In 1934, Beatrice L. Miller launched the Royal China Company after purchasing the E. H. Sebring China Company, building a successful business while maintaining a deep commitment to philanthropy in the greater Alliance area. Her name has long been associated with generosity and community support.
In 2015, the trustees of her foundation established the Beatrice L. Miller Charitable Fund by transferring its assets to continue her charitable vision locally. The Trustees were looking for an easier way to manage her philanthropic legacy rather than managing it through a private foundation.
Through the guidance of the B. L. Miller Advisory Committee, the fund continues to support organizations serving the greater Alliance area, from food pantries and youth programs to community centers and essential social services.
Beatrice L. Miller’s legacy reminds us that thoughtful philanthropy can impact a community for generations.
