Since 1999, the Greater Alliance Foundation (GAF) has brought people together to meet the needs of the greater Alliance community. From scholarships and literacy programs to grants assisting nearly 200 local nonprofits, GAF has been a steady force for good, fueling the spirit of collaboration and generosity that defines Alliance.
Now, for the first time in its history, the Foundation is launching an Annual Campaign to invite the entire community to join in shaping the future of Alliance. In a typical year, more than $1 million dollars is awarded to nonprofits strengthening those that serve our area. The campaign aims to raise $100,000 in unrestricted support to help GAF stay responsive to emerging needs and partner with local nonprofits, creating a lasting impact.
“After 26 years of quietly serving our city, we are stepping forward in a new way. This first-ever annual campaign is not just about raising funds, it’s about rallying the community to imagine what is possible when we invest in ourselves. We are building on decades of trust to strengthen the future of our city together,” said Heidi McClung, Executive Director of the Greater Alliance Foundation.
Education has always been central to GAF’s mission. Through its many initiatives, the Foundation has invested in programs reaching more than 150,000 youth, opening doors to learning and brighter futures. Beyond education, GAF’s support helps fund critical services that feed families, provide shelter, address social needs, and build connections across the community.
Funds raised through this Annual Campaign will give GAF the flexibility to respond quickly as new challenges arise, ensuring help is available when and where it’s needed most. Every contribution, no matter the size, stays local and directly benefits the greater Alliance area.
