Investing in Education ~
A Scholarship Fund is a personalized fund you create to help others advance their education. With the assistance of the Greater Alliance Foundation staff, you may determine scholarship guidelines, eligibility criteria, award amount, and selection committee.
Benefits:
- No upfront costs or administrative hassle and GAF accepts a wide range of nontraditional assets such as contributions from an organization or a group of individual donors.
- A fund is set up in a professionally managed investment fund that can generate investment income, year after year.
- A portion of the earned income or a specific dollar among can be used for annual scholarship awards.
- GAF can provide assistance in determining guidelines including eligibility criteria, award amounts and the selection committee.

Above Average Women’s Scholarship Fund (2021)
A scholarship for females in the greater Alliance area who will excel in the career of their choice and become successful leaders in their community.
Athena Scholarship Fund (2013)
A scholarship for a college-bound graduating senior female in the greater Alliance area who demonstrates community involvement, academic achievement, and leadership.
Lloyd and June Carlile Educational Scholarship Fund (2005)
A scholarship for graduating seniors of Marlington High School.
Carnation City Players Scholarship Fund (2014)
A scholarship for high school seniors for post-secondary education who intend to study theater arts and/or plan for future involvement with community theater.
Honoring Hometown Heroes Project (2022)
A scholarship established for all seniors of a veteran or active duty parent or guardian residing in and graduating from Alliance, Marlington, Sebring, or West Branch School Districts. St. Thomas Aquinas seniors may apply if they reside in one of the above four school districts.
