Supporting Your Passions ~
Field of Interest Funds support specific areas of interest such as the arts, education, the environment, or animal welfare – rather than an individual oraganization. They are a simple and effective way to make a difference in the areas you care about most.
Alliance Community Center (2017)
This fund was created to maintain and repair the center formerly known as the Alliance Neighborhood Center so non-profit organizations can provide services to the community.
Alliance Parks and Recreation Fund (2005)
This fund was created thanks to a donation from the family from the late John Robertson when the Robertson Community Center transferred ownership to the City of Alliance Park Board. The fund is used to support the capital needs of the swimming pool facility as well as the entire park and recreational system.
Alliance Police Department K-9 Fund (2022)
The K-9 Fund was established toward police efforts to cover the cost of care including equipment, supplies, and training of Xander and future police dogs that will serve with the Alliance Police Department.
Lloyd Carlile Summer Youth Fund (2021)
This fund creates a funding source to provide area children with educational and recreational opportunities during their summer vacation.
Robert and Arlene Gempler Education Fund (2021)
This fund was established to honor a long-time community couple by providing funding to support a variety of educational programs in our area.
Marlington Education Innovation Fund (2016)
Marlington Local Schools created this fund to support teacher and staff proposals for STEM Education, 21st Century Learning Skills, Common Core State Standards, 1-to-1 Technology Integration, and Professional Development for teachers.
Ernest A. Sheetz Memorial Fund (2006)
This fund was created in memory of our first director to support quality early childhood education which he was instrumental in championing as a foundation initiative.
Stuckey Family Fund (2003)
Upon Arthur Stuckey’s passing, his donor advised fund became an endowed fund designatd to be used for educational purposes per the discression of the GAF trustees.
Summer Explorers Fund (2017)
The Summer Explorers Fund was created to help Alliance City Schools elementary students from families with fewer resources participate in summer vacation activities to stop the “summer slide” learning loss and return to school in the fall with greater reading, math, and leadership skills.
