The Greater Alliance Foundation features funds established by individuals, families, corporations, private foundations, and nonprofit organizations. Contributing to one of our more than 80 funds – or starting your own – supports the overall improvement of our community.
Greater Alliance Community Fund (1999)
This fund is our savings account for the future of our community. Help us help the community through an unrestricted gift to the Greater Alliance Community Fund. The purpose of this fund is to address the community’s greatest needs.

53 Accessible Alliance McClung Fund (2022)
Following Chad’s ALS diagnosis, he and his wife Heidi established this fund in celebration of his 53rd birthday. Their goal is to enhance outdoor accessibility in Alliance, ensuring it is more inclusive for individuals with disabilities, seniors, and families with young children.
Alison Draves Performing Arts Fund (2009)
Jeff and Pat established this memorial fund to honor their daughter as a lasting tribute to Alison’s joy and love of the performing arts.
Alliance Area Habitat for Humanity Together Fund (2024)
The Alliance Area Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope. This fund supports their mission of seeking to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope in the greater Alliance area. For every donation to this Together Fund between $100 and $5,000, GAF will provide a matching grant of 5% and return the original donation to the Alliance Area Habitat for Humanity.
Alliance Association of Office Professionals Scholarship Fund (2025)
This scholarship was established to support graduating seniors from the greater Alliance area with aspirations in the world of business. Eligible applicants must be pursuing a degree in General Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Office Administration, Management, Economics, Sales, or Entrepreneurship.
Through this opportunity, the Alliance Association of Office Professionals aims to invest in the next generation of business leaders and professionals, empowering them to achieve their educational and career goals.
Alliance Capital Improvement Charitable Fund (2024)
This fund was established to provide financial support for the capital improvement, maintenance, and repairs of community buildings which house nonprofit organizations in Alliance, Ohio. The fund also supports any nonprofit organization in Alliance which hosts Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
Alliance Community Pantry Together Fund (2024)
The Alliance Community Pantry works within the community to end hunger with an all-volunteer organization (no paid staff) which relies totally on the financial generosity of the community. For every donation to this Together Fund between $100 and $5,000, GAF will provide a matching grant of 5% and return the original donation to the Alliance Community Pantry.
Alliance Family YMCA (Eugene Turner) Fund (2015)
The Alliance Family YMCA puts Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
Alliance Friends Church Marriage Ministry Fund (2024)
This fund will provide financial support to the Alliance Friends Church to strengthen Christian marriages and provide financial assistance for couples to attend marriage retreats, workshops, and seminars along with providing support toward programming, guest speakers, and events for Christian marriages in the greater Alliance area.
Alliance Historical Society Together Fund (2018)
The Alliance Historical Society was founded for the promotion of historical studies of the City of Alliance and its surrounding areas. For every donation to this Together Fund between $100 and $5,000, GAF will provide a matching grant of 5% and return the original donation to the Alliance Historical Society.
Alliance Parks & Recreation Fund (2005)
This fund was created thanks to a donation from the family of the late John Robertson when the Robertson Community Center transferred ownership to the City of Alliance Park Board. The fund is used to support the capital needs of the swimming pool facility as well as the entire park and recreational system.
Alliance Police Department K-9 Fund (2022)
The K-9 Fund was established toward police efforts to cover the cost of care including equipment, supplies, and training of Xander and future police dogs that will serve with the Alliance Police Department.
Alliance Pregnancy Center Endowment Fund (2021)
The Alliance Pregnancy Center helps parents facing unplanned pregnancy by providing a free pregnancy test, ultrasound confirmation, and answers to questions about abortion, parenting, and adoption.
